The Law was fulfilled in Christ Jesus…

While in Church as the Word was ministered, I began to think upon what my Pastor mentioned about how the old Testament which includes the Ten Commandment meant to people. And truly there are a lot of people who think the old Testament is abolished since having the New Testament and that we can’t live, learn and relate to it. But this is the not the case. The good news is that Christ Jesus did not come to abolish the old Testament but to fulfill it and rather abolished or conquered sins, briefing the the Law of Moses in two ways,

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31

So if we say that the Old Testament is abolished, does that mean you should kill now, worship other gods apart from God, steal, commit adultery, lie, and commit murder? “The 10 Commandments”, Exodus 20: 3-17. The old Testament shows us the reflection of what God’s initial plan was, to make Children of men He made, His Creation. But that was difficult for men to fulfill, even when he chose Israel to be His own people as an example to many nations. The Sinful nature of man made it difficult for even the Israelites to live by the Law of Moses despite being the chosen. Therefore making the Law imperfect. Sin Corrupted the World. And as many times the People of Israel made animal sacrifices to atone their sins by shedding the blood of animals, it wasn’t enough. Therefore every year this sacrifices were made. Praise the Glorious for His Jesus Christ who gave His life by which His blood was shared to atone our sins once and for all. That we became a new creation, born of God through His Son Jesus Christ have made us Holy and Righteous before God. We have become Sons of God, Children of the Father. Yes, the Father’s initial plan in the Old Testament has been fulfilled in us through Jesus Christ our Lord. We the result of the New Testament! A Holy nation, a Peculiar People, the Priest of God! Hallelujah!

12. Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14. In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:15Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

17.And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; 20. And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. 21. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled‘ ” Colosians 1:12-21 KJV

Thank you. God Bless you!
